ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE COORDINATOR (HYBRID -  NEW YORK)

The Accounts Receivable Coordinator will have responsibility for a variety of tasks in the Billing and Collections Department in order to facilitate the firm’s collection of client invoices.  This role serves as an auditor, ensuring invoices are accurate and that proper procedures are followed to account for the receipt of payments for services completed by the Firm.  This role is also responsible for providing the Accounting team with administrative support such as making copies, completing forms, and obtaining documentation.

How You’ll Help Our Team Succeed 

  • Research the allocation of all incoming payments, received wires, ACHs, and checks.
  • Allocate payments to invoices in the accounting system both from new payments as well as from the unapplied cash and retainer accounts.
  • Report on the daily cash deposit with accuracy and completeness.
  • Process write offs of accounts receivable and refunds to clients.
  • Assist the Associate Director, Collections to research billing documents and details and in addressing audit needs.
  • Respond to client inquiries for vendor/new vendor set up forms and information.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

  • 2+ years of directly related experience.
  • The desire to take initiative and actively contribute to the team and the firm
  • The ability to communicate effectively and professionally
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to learn the firm’s financial and operational functions
  • The mindset to provide superior service
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Associate degree preferred or demonstrated equivalent combination of education,training, and experience.

Cornerstone Research is offering a competitive market base salary for this position between $51,000.00 and $67,200.00.  A job offer will depend on how closely a candidate’s skills, experience and education match the requirements for the role.  In addition to base salary, we offer a total compensation package that includes annual performance bonus and generous benefits.
